The Northern Lights can typically be seen in Lapland from September to March, when nights are dark enough and the sky is clear. The best chances are during the polar night season (December–January). Our cabins are far from city lights — you can often watch the aurora right from the yard.

The nearest airport is Kittilä (KTT), with direct flights from Helsinki. Distances: Otsonpesä approx. 16 km, Riekonpesä approx. 38 km, Naalinpesä approx. 52 km, and Metsonpesä approx. 80 km. Shuttle buses and car rentals are available — a rental car is the best way to get around Lapland.

Yes, dogs are welcome in all our cabins. Otsonpesä also has fenced dog yards and heated kennels. Please mention pets when booking and help keep the cabin tidy.
